OLD AND BOLD PARACHUTE JUMP
For those of us that are Old and Bold, we have been invited to jump with the Phantom Brigade. Jim McSorley a member of the Brigade will head up this event for us. The Phantom Brigade makes Military Static Line parachute jumps using the latest in Military parachute equipment. The SET -10 35 Foot parabolic parachute is made with zero porosity material. In plan English this means a much softer landing then you were use too. I have seen several of them make stand up landing.
Depending upon the number of people that sign up for the jump, will determine the size of the aircraft. The drop zone is to be Sky Dive City, Zephyrhills, Florida. . The more people the bigger the aircraft!
If you want to Jump, you must be Airborne qualified. This is open to ALL PARATROOPERS, any unit, any branch of service, etc. Registration fee includes all equipment, aircraft and refresher training. This is your chance to "Hook up" again with your old Airborne Buddies, and go all the way.
1. Be sure you have sent your DD form 214 showing you are airborne qualified or you will not jump
2. Wear fatigues or BDUs with jump boots, If you have a helmet bring it
3. Meet at Sky Dive City, Zephyrhills, Florida at 0800 hours,12 February
4. Jump time is tentative 10:00 hours (TOT)
5. Rain date is 13 February 2005
